Homestay living is a wonderful way to help your English and immerse yourself in the New Zealand culture. It gives you time to adjust to a new way of life while being looked after as you settle into your studies and new environment.
New Zealand families can be all different. A family maybe two parents or a single parent and one child. Many retired couples like to host students as well. Pets are a huge part of family life in NZ too.
New Zealand people love the outdoors and many children and adults play sports, rugby and netball are some of the most common, also biking, walking in the parks and many outdoor activites.
New Zealand is the home of the famous ALL BLACKS, and well known ex All Blacks Captain, Richie McCaw lives in Christchurch!
What your family will provide you at home
Your host family will provide you with..
  • Your own room with study facilities, a desk lamp and chair
  • Storage and wardrobe space
  • You are provided with three meals a day... breakfast, a packed lunch and hot meal at night
  • Your laundry will be done for you, or if you prefer you can do this yourself
  • Internet access
